Summer Family Photo Bonanza 2012

A few months ago I had a brainstorm session with myself (ha), and decided to see if anyone would be interested in doing a day of mini-sessions. Basically I would just shoot ten 30 minute sessions in one day, and  since the sessions were alot shorter than my normal photo shoots then I was able to offer them at a discounted price! I also had four "settings" in one location which gave me a variety of backdrops to work with each family. I had an old white barn, a vintage bike, a picket fence with a cute bunting banner, and  for the macho men I had my bro-in-law's amazing  vintage Chevy Nova. I had all the details in my head, but wasn't sure what to call this "event". I didn't think "Day of Mini-Sessions" sounded too catchy ... So, I called up my super smart, marketing guru dad and he came up with the name "Summer Family Photo Bonanza". To my utter surprise when I posted an ad on Facebook for the Bonanza I got a ton of response! I sold out in a little over a week and half! (WHOO!) So, with a response like that I started getting together my prop ideas, etc.

August 18th (the day of the Bonanza) turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. I had such a great time getting to know some new clients, plus seeing some old friends! When I got home the night after shooting the Bonanza I literally fell into bed! It was an awesome day, and I can't wait to do it again next year! (Yes, I think I might actually attempt it again!)... I had the most amazing clients. Here are a few photos to show you how the day went...

The little welcome table that greeted my clients when they arrived for their photo session

Lemonade and fruit punch packets for the water bottles. :)

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day...

Thank you to all my amazing clients! Let's do it again soon!
